Help transcribe: the Sermon Transcriber

A free Windows program. It downloads each sermon, turns the speech into text right on your computer (no AI service, no account), and sends the text here. You can close it any time; it picks up where it left off.

  1. Open the downloaded Sermon Transcriber.zip and click Extract all.
  2. In the extracted folder, double-click Sermon Transcriber.
  3. If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway. This happens because the program is new and unsigned.
  4. Leave the window open with the computer plugged in. Overnight is ideal. Each sermon takes a few minutes.
  5. To pause, close the window. To continue, double-click it again.
